Developed for monitoring the new generation of European space launcher Ariane 6, Spacewireless® Wireless Sensor Networks is now declined for several markets: Flight Test measurement, Structural health monitoring and Automotive Testing. The main task of the newly designed Spacewireless® Wireless Sensor Networks is to challenge existing technologies by introducing a reliable, ultra-low power and time-synchronized wireless network particularly adapted to dynamic measurement (vibration and acoustic).
Spacewireless® is a cutting edge technology and comes with advanced features:

• Uncrowded frequency band: 3.5GHz up to 6.5GHz
• Deterministic wireless network:
– Clock synchronization with a high accuracy (less than 1 µs).

Reliable Wireless Technology
Spacewireless® technology comes with Ultra Wide Band technology and provides a performant jamming awareness mechanism.
It operates on the UWB frequency band (3.5GHz up to 6.5GHz), which is broader and much less crowded than 2.4GHz and 868/915 MHz frequency bands. Wireless network reliability is improved by the availability of lossless data transmission algorithms and a deterministic propagation delay.
Time-Synchronized Wireless Sensor Networks
Thanks to UWB Radio Technology and Time-of-Flight algorithms developed by Beanair, Spacewireless® can reach a time-synchronization less than 1 µs over the WSN. Especially adapted for harsh environment, the BeanDevice® AVX is equipped with a clock-drift control and is permanently synchronized with the BeanGateway® AVX. The BeanGateway® AVX Grandmaster comes with a GNSS module for an accurate time-stamping (±20ns). Time-Synchronization with BeanDevice® AVX is provided through the reliable and safety IR-UWB network.

Ready for Modal Analysis & Dynamic measurement
Modal analysis has become a widely applied tool for understanding complex energy concentrations and dispersions in materials and structures. This method requires a time-synchronized sensor network combined with a high sampling rate. Many WSN solutions can hardly reach a clock accuracy of 5-10 ms and are still not compatible with dynamic measurement (acoustic, vibration). SpaceWireless® WSN comes with an accurate time-synchronization (less than 1us) and can reach a high sampling rate (almost 32 KHz).
Self-Powered Wireless Devices
Beandevice® AVX product (Wireless DAQ/sensor) integrates a power manager compatible with any kind of energy harvesting source (solar, thermal, vibration…). An integrated Lithium-Polymer battery allows the BeanDevice® AVX to operate in standalone with a battery life of 6 months maximum (without external power source).
